Sponsored Walk from Stanmore to Oxford Street, London (10.5miles)-myself, my husband Lewis and two friends Peter and Rumit walked to London to raise money on November 11th. We walked non stop and raised £550, when we finally sat down to have a drink in London it was very hard to get up again, our legs were like jelly!

Gift and Bake Sale at St Peters Parish Hall, Bushey on Dec 2nd-Friends and family made delicious cakes for my fundraising and we had very generous donations from Cakes of Good Taste, Bushey Heath and Genuine Cakes, Hatch End. My amazing best friend Sammy knitted/crocheted toys to sell, plus we had a tombola, guess name of teddy bear, guess the weight of cake and dvds, books etc to sell. We managed to make £800, which was so much more than we imagined we would be able to raise so thank you very much to everyone who helped and came and bought things from us.

Tuesday January 8th 2013-Quiz Night in the Three Crowns Pub, Bushey Heath. Michael Duffy the landlord kindly offered to hold a quiz night to help with my fundraising. The entry fee for the quiz was £3 each and he lay out a few hot snacks as well, the turn out was amazing and we raised £220. Michael Duffy then increased this to £500! Everyone had a great night and Steve the quiz master was lovely. Thank you very much to the Three Crowns!

I was contacted by a company in Watford-Building Research Establishment who said they read my article and they would like to help by raising some funds for me throughout December.  In January I received a cheque for £500, I did no know anyone at BRE beforehand and I just want to send a massive thank you not only for their generosity but for their kindness to me.
